The Evermore Centre Brings Exciting Learning Opportunity to Saskatchewan’s Adoption Community!

This summer The Evermore Centre’s Resource Director Leah Deans had the opportunity to attend a 3-day National Adoption Conference hosted online by the North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) nacac.org

Once a year NACAC brings together North America's leading adoption and permanency experts and specialists to share valuable information.

Deans commented that she has attended NACAC conferences a number of times during her 20 years at The Evermore Centre and the adoption and permanency learning is unparalleled. “Having the top experts speak on relevant and important adoption issues all in one place and at one time, allows you to connect a lot of the dots in what is most needed and important to families and children.”

A simple way of defining permanency for children/youth is stability but it is much more than that.

Permanency for children/youth is an expansive term defined as positive, healthy, nurturing relationships with adults who provide support (emotional, financial, moral, educational, and other kinds) as well as unconditional commitment over the course of a lifetime.

The Evermore Centre is pleased to provide a slice of this information to individuals, families and professionals by bringing Karen Moore’s NACAC presentation to you!
