Kin Keepers – Rooted in Love and Support: A Journey of Reconnection
To the Kokom, Mosom, grandmas, grandpas, aunties, uncles, and all those who have stepped in to keep our families together — this program was built with you in mind, shaped by your voices, and supported by our partners.
Join us on September 23, 2025 at Station 20 West for the first gathering in our Rooted in Love and Support series. This event centers caregivers and kin who hold our families together with strength and love. The morning features a session on Trauma-Informed Care with Oaks Mental Health, followed by lunch, and an afternoon teaching from an Elder on how traditional value systems support healing and parenting. Come reconnect, reflect, and root into community. All are welcome. Please indicate if you need childcare, transportation support or have dietary restrictions.
This is a bi-monthly program, with follow-up hybrid (online and in-person) check-ins one month following each session.
Session 2: Circle of Support: Understanding Addiction will be held on November 18, 2025
Session 3: Love Guides Our Voices: Wisdom, Rights, and Peer Support will be held on January 13, 2026
Session 4: Circle of Balance: Walking in Financial Wellbeing will be held on March 17, 2026
