Peyakôskân (One Nation) Family Gathering in Regina
Please join us for a day for the entire family, filled with interesting and fun activities.
The workshop is focused on families grown thru PSI, kinship, guardianship, adoption and foster care.
The morning session will divide the parents/caregivers into one group and the children/youth into another, allowing for open discussion and learning for each.
The parent group will learn about loss and how it manifests and then focus on how to parent through these challenges. The children’s/youth group will focus on addressing and understanding their feelings. Both groups will include an Indigenous perspective.
Lunch will be provided to socialize and connect with other families. After lunch, we will start with a session on supporting families and Indigenous culture and then we will conclude with an Indigenous craft – making talking sticks – fun for all ages!
